WOOD & Company becomes a member of the Vienna Stock Exchange

WOOD & Company continues its strategy of improving client services and joining European stock exchanges. On 11 October 2004, WOOD & Company will become a full-fledged member of Wiener Börse, providing its clients with fast and easy trading on the Austrian market. In addition, the company is in the final stage of negotiating membership in the German Deutsche Börse.

WOOD & Company is the first company from the new EU member states to join the Vienna Stock Exchange.

"Our presence at the Vienna Stock Exchange and later in Germany will significantly expand the portfolio of WOOD & Company’s services, providing our clients with fast and high-quality access to trading on important European markets," says Andrea Ferancová, WOOD & Company's Head of Equities.

At the same time, WOOD & Company is considering the possibility of becoming a market maker of Erste Bank shares on the Vienna Stock Exchange, which means that it will set on a daily basis the buy and sell quotas for Erste Bank shares.

Membership on the Vienna Stock Exchange is a part of WOOD & Company's strategic goal to become a member of important stock exchanges in Western Europe and to gain direct access to trading.
