Furthermore, in September 2005, WOOD & Co acted as Co-lead Manager for the sale of 4.5 million shares in Zentiva through an accelerated book building process and as a sole broker of a further sale of 6.2 million shares in Zentiva through the largest ever block trade executed on the Prague Stock Exchange.

Mandatory public tender offers and de-listings have become a highly sensitive issue in the Czech Republic in recent years. In September 2005, WOOD & Co successfully completed the largest ever tender offer related to an after-privatization mandatory offer to minority shareholders of Český Telecom by Telefonica.

In June 2004, WOOD & Co successfully executed the first ever IPO on the Prague Stock Exchange, of the leading generics pharmaceutical company Zentiva. The first ever IPO on the Czech capital market has opened a new, attractive area of investment banking activities on the Czech market. WOOD & Co, together with Merrill Lynch, successfully executed the USD 212 million initial public offering of Zentiva on the Prague and London Stock Exchanges.
